Frequently asked questions
What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose (white by default).
Why isn't AVIF available?
AVIF encoding depends on your browser. If it isn't listed, your browser can't encode AVIF yet — try Chrome or Edge.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your images never leave your device, and nothing is stored or logged.
