Frequently asked questions
Which format has the best quality?
WAV and FLAC are lossless. FLAC is compressed, so it's smaller than WAV with identical quality. For lossy formats, Opus and AAC sound better than MP3 at the same bitrate.
Can I extract audio from a YouTube link?
No. The converter only works with files on your device; it doesn't download from websites.
Are my audio files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your audio files never leave your device, and nothing is stored or logged.
